Awards, are of course great for business.  But not all awards you have to apply for – some just land on your lap!

Yesterday I received this wonderful accolade of “Best Of Customer Service” on Houzz®, the leading platform for home renovation and design, chosen by the more than 35 million monthly users.

Another way of describing Houzz, I like to say, is the encyclopaedia of interior design. It’s a vast source of imagery and products listed in whatever way you fancy searching for – whether you’re looking for home building, renovating, interior design ideas, products and very importantly – industry professionals.

Here the public can interact with professionals, in asking for advice and information about their work – and ultimately for finding the professionals they need to work with. Here’s my profile on Houzz (Deborah Law Interiors).

Hence, this award is a great way of signalling to people that you’re good to do business with, as this commendation is arrived through independent verification.

So I think I’ll look out for other awards I might apply for too now!

As a New Years Business Resolution – I urge you to see what award programmes you could try and achieve recognition from.
