A dream family place, to include an Aga and curved seating. A wine rack specially made for their favourite champagne box! Pierre xxx To be comfortable, but also great for entertaining, and loads of storage.
The Aga and colour was the first choice. Then we thought the grandmothers table and chairs would be perfect for the curved seating area…a tearful moment when I suggested that! Finding a granite slab big enough for the long central island with the aubergine Aga colour within it was the next challenge! With hand blown stunning aubergine tinted glass lights over the island. Huge tiles (120cm square) made me not so popular with the build team! But they agree they look amazing! We spread a two tone colour theme throughout the whole area and also brought in some other colours in the soft furnishings, with finally large bifold doors opening out to the garden for fun summers!
Oh Aga, the hand-made wood shaker kitchen – the Smeg – the Quooker…the list goes on! Kids can jump in the sofas, run round the island and go into the garden from two entrances! Adults can hang around the island on the stunning bar stools, with amazing smells from the Aga and within a hands reach to the champagne! 6 entrances to other parts of the house make this truly the hub of the home.
