Create a space that will house all our books, be a great place to read, the children to play and also feel like a cinema. This is the most modern part of the house – so it was time to get fun 🙂
The process.
This was a merger of the original garage and granny annex above. We had to take the roof off and add new structural steels (keeping all the roof tiles and using them again). I wanted an amazing chandelier centrally and a mezzanine area – the library cement both levels together with it running totally along the back wall on both levels. Add lots of colour, a connection to the older part of the house with some modern panelling, a huge TV and sofa and it’s perfect! We think?
